WEBER SHANDWICK TOPS PRWEEK’S FIRST GLOBAL AGENCY REPORT CARD
Firm Takes Gold Medal For Strong Performance, New Business and External Recognition
London, September 10, 2009 — Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading global public relations firms, has been awarded the gold medal by PRWeek for its first global agency report card. The report tracks performance over the last 12 months for 24 global agency networks against four key criteria: business development, people, network initiatives and cohesion, and external recognition.
Weber Shandwick was recognised for its strong 12-month performance, impressive new business wins across multiple markets, and its innovative and award-winning work for clients. This accolade follows on the heels of an impressive year of recognitions for the firm including being named Global Agency of the Year by The Holmes Report, Large PR Firm of the Year by PR News, and winning the inaugural Cannes Lions Award for “Best PR-led Integrated Campaign.”
“Receiving a gold medal for PRWeek’s first global agency award along with this year’s other industry accolades are a tribute to the extraordinary creativity and intellectual capital that our people bring to each and every assignment for our clients,” said Harris Diamond, CEO of Weber Shandwick. “I am extremely grateful to our clients who have entrusted us with the responsibility to advocate and market on their behalf.”
